Eric Freel has been pastor of Redeemer Baptist Church since the church constituted in 2001. Redeemer Baptist Church is the only church Eric has served as pastor. He considers it both a great privilege and enormous responsibility to serve the glorious kingdom of Christ as a Pastor on one of His churches.

He is presently, and has been for twenty-eight years, married to his dear wife Mary Clare, a native of Macon, whom he met while attending Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS. God has bountifully blessed Eric and Mary Clare with six children, five boys and one girl.

After graduating from Liberty Baptist College, now Liberty University, with a BS degree in Pastoral Ministries, Eric attended Reformed Theological Seminary, where he earned a Master of Divinity Degree in 1986. While at Liberty, a good friend introduced him to Biblical thought in the form of Reformed theology using the Bible as his primary source of argument and supplementing it with high quality Christian literature. This combination of Bible study, conversation, and reading was blessed by the Holy Spirit to lead him to heartily embrace the Reformed position as Biblical.

Along with service in the church, Eric has been involved in Christian education since 1987. Since 1991, he has labored at Covenant Academy in Macon, GA, where he has served as teacher, administrator, coach, principal, curriculum director, and Dean of Students. He completed a Masters of Education at Covenant College in 2001.
